RoadTax-A New Year 07 cheers

Last evening,our DPM Datuk Seri Najib had announced road tax reduction for all private cars by 4% ~33%,effectively on 1stJan07.

Thanks to the Government who continuesly find ways and measures to lessen the financial burden of the Malaysian. By reducing road taxes,it's may benefits a wide section of society.
Beside reducing road taxes,goverment also move ahead to lower down excise duties for certain categories of vechicle in order to makes these vechicles more competitive in our country.

Road taxes rates effective 1st Jan 07

1,000 and below RM30(Current) RM20(New)
1,001 ~ 1,200 RM65~85 RM55
1,201 ~ 1,400 RM80~100 RM70
1,401 ~ 1,600 RM100~127.5 RM90
1,601 ~ 1,800 RM255~325 RM200~280
1,801 ~ 2,000 RM325~395 RM280~380
2,001 ~ 2,500 RM396~895 RM381~888

Above rates for Penisular Malaysia only.The rates may vary for Sabah and Sarawak.
